World Radio Day

I’ve really enjoyed the past two years of creating live, fun and intriguing moments in every one of my shows on radio. It’s something I try to accomplish every single time I turn on my mic.

The music informs these moments. It’s music people can get anywhere, at any time.

But, each moment I create in connection with the music that has been scheduled is a reflection of my distinct personality. Each moment I create is inspired by what’s relevant and happening in our community and lives.

Most importantly, each moment I create is a unique opportunity to engage with people on-air and through our shared experience while listening together.

That’s what radio does best. I love it.

Listening to the radio is one of the only things we can do completely alone and simultaneously connect in a meaningful way with other people.

Adam Growe was the morning radio host at DC103.5fm in Orangeville, ON in the early to mid 1990s.
